Default Florida Case.

Brothers and Sisters,

Before I begin to lay out the facts of my case I would like to give some background information on myself and the thoughts that are floating around in my mind. I am Reverend Michael Paul Wilsman of St. Johns County Florida. I was born in Fort Lauderdale Florida on January 26, 1986 on a bright glowing full moon night(also super bowl Sunday). My parents were Catholic Christians therefore it was their duty to give me a baby baptism and teach me the ways of our Lord. Continuing to grow in faith as a child I was placed into a Catholic middle school, Saint Joan of Arc in Boca Raton Florida, where I received the Catholic Sacraments of Eucharist and later Confirmation. I remember being with my best of friends on this day: John, David, Taylor, Andrew, Sean, myself, and of course my Grandfather Randy who was my Confirmation sponsor. I do remember both these days vividly and can recall feeling seared or cutoff when being confirmed by the bishop with the false oils my past church used in its ceremony. I point this out now because on the day I received the Holy Anointing Oil from Roger and performed my own Sacrament of Baptism, Chrismation, Eucharist, and Redemption I truly felt the presence of the Holy Spirit. Since receiving the oil I have manufactured and performed these sacraments numerous times always in good faith, peace, love, unity, and respect with my brothers and sisters and the Creator. Back on track now… After attending this middle school and being part of the Catholic Mass as an Alter Boy for 3 years or more I graduated and enrolled at Cardinal Gibbons Catholic High School in Fort Lauderdale Florida. During middle school I was on numerous city sports teams and school teams also part of science, math, and social studies clubs. In High School I was also on sports teams and part of clubs. My first time experiencing cannabis was with a couple of friends during the summer in between eighth and ninth grade. We smoked inside one of my friends bathrooms and then went and hung out inside his garage. My thoughts were racing for awhile, there was the good ones the bad ones, and however my mind calmed, I felt at ease and later enjoyed the euphoric God-like state of pure bliss. It was at this point I knew what I had been taught in DARE classes was false and this was not a killer weed or some jump off point to harder drugs. My use of cannabis at this point in my life was little to known. I would use cannabis before attending church services with my parents or on social occasions at parties on the weekends. I brought up earlier about the sports I was apart of and I make this point about them. The use of cannabis did affect me in respect to not wanting to continue playing these sports. However, It was not due to lack of ability, stamina, or drive to be part of the team. It was purely the competition of sports in high school. It was no longer about going out to the baseball field to have fun with your friends or to the soccer field to run around and score goals with your middle school buddies. I realized that competition was something I no longer wanted to be involved with and choose to join and stay with clubs that promoted cooperation and helpfulness to others. During this time of High School my parents moved my brother to Saint Ambrose middle school and this became our new church to attend. I took up a position as Usher for the church and performed this position for those 4 years of high school. This entailed attending mass every Sunday, ushering people to their seats, and collecting of church donations. All the while practicing my cannabis spirituality and not even knowing a Ministry like The Healing Christ existed. After graduation from Cardinal Gibbons, I moved out of my parents home into an apartment 350 miles north in Jacksonville Florida to attend University of North Florida (UNF).
I enrolled and began over the summer of 2004 with the selected Major of Accounting. I have maintained a job with an Accounting Firm now for 6 years and have just received an AA from UNF. Upon getting accumulated to the area and attending college I meet my current girlfriend of 2 years. A friend of mine Brandon, who is a fellow minister here in the THC Ministry are founding members of UNF NORML and cooperate well together to promote decriminalization here in Florida for the past year. I started cultivating cannabis for personal spiritual growth in early 2005. I grew 3 bag seed of known Blueberry and 1 seed called Skum( a Skunk Bubblegum cross obtained from a monk in south Florida). All 4 were female and were the most beautiful cannabis plants I have seen to date. I have grown and seen numerous strains since and wish to this day I somehow kept a copy of these girls, but that is then and this is now. I first learned of the THC Ministry from The Cannabible II by Jason King last page there is an article by Roger Christie. After reading this article and visiting the website I decided to accept my call to the ministry and was ordained with the ULC on November 20, 2005. I also donated for a full ministry credential kit and have been a member in good standing since November 27, 2005. My girlfriend Victoria didn’t get ordained this day because of her own beliefs that she will lay out some other time, but she was ordained June 10, 2006 with the ULC. This spring semester that started January 2007 I enrolled in Hebrew Bible / Old Testament Studies at UNF to examine and interpret further these ancient stories which have been passed down, and which I believe are at the very core of my beliefs. Through Ancient Wisdom, Modern Science, Cannabis, and Gnosis I can personally confirm that the Holy Anointing Oil given by God to Moses was used by Jesus the Christ the Nazarene to heal the sick, feed our hungers, and redeem our sins. My last opportunity to make the Holy Anointing Oil was on February 2, 2007. After preparation, prayer, extraction, prayer, fusion, prayer, cooling, and more prayer the Oil was complete.

February 5, 2007

On February 5, 2007 AD at or around 10:15 A.M. Eastern Standard Time I heard a knock on the door and proceeded from my computer desk to the front door and opened the door. The two men said they were looking for “Mike” who was going to sell them a computer some “HP model” the older man said. At this point I stepped outside and started to look at their paper which said 220 Seamist Court, I then told the men they had the wrong home, and that they should travel two streets toward the front of the community from the street they were currently on, which was Stellar Court. At that time the two men turned and went toward the vehicle which was parked noticeable far from my home on the complete opposite side of my truck, which was parked in my drive way, and could not been seen from the front door. I went inside and locked the door, then looked through the top window of the door and watched a new tinted Grey Dodge Magnum, which has a hatchback. At this point I wished them on their merry way in my head and hoped they found their computer alright, and then went into my room to shower. After the Shower I got dressed and then sat back down at my computer, logged on to blackboard at UNF.edu, and began my normal Monday which would have consisted of studying for Intermediate Accounting II and Production, Operations, and Logistics Management test which where scheduled for Tuesday, February 6th, 2007 at 3:05 and 4:30 respectably. However, On or around 11:40 A.M EST on Monday, February 7, 2007 another knock was announced at the door, thinking it was a package from either Work or Specialty Bottle Company I opened the door to the same two men who where at my house about an hour earlier asking about the computer. At this point the door was half open, and the older man said, “Michael we are with the US Drug Enforcement Agency (while the older man flipped his badge out at me, and then concealing it quickly), and we have credible witness to cultivation and sale of marijuana from your residence, and we would like to talk to you about this matter.” I then calmly stepped outside my home onto my doorstep, and then was asked by the older man which I now know as US DEA Agent Special Forces Bruce Savell if he could search my home. My reply was, “Do you have a search warrant?” His answer was, “No we do not.” I then replied, “then you can not search.” This is when things got ugly. While all this dialogue was taking place at the front door two other men in undercover clothes, just like the two Agents who were talking to me, were approaching from about 15 feet away which was in front of my garage, and then Bruce said, “Please turn around we are going to detain you for a drug investigation.” And I complied by turning around and putting my hands behind me. At this point, I was facing my open front door, and had no way to close it within about the span of 45 seconds this all took place in. A man from behind me who I could not identify because I was not facing him then said, “Is anyone else inside the residence at this time,” I replied, “No Sir” This is just as the cuffs were both locked around my wrists. I then turned around to face the man I now know as St. Johns County Narcotics Detective Shawn Ferris. At this point in time, Bruce Savell and Shawn Ferris entered my home as I looked at the two other officers in disbelief. The men did not draw a weapon, and no weapon was even seen until 3:40 P.M. later that afternoon. They walked passed the computer room/den on the left and dining room on the right as the entered my home. From this point they entered the kitchen and proceeded toward the open living room at the rear of the home 20 feet or more from the front door. Bruce then entered the master bedroom to the left which had an open door, and Shawn proceeded into the living room and tracked in between the couch (on his right) and chair(on his left), then in between the living room table(on the right) and the bean bag chair(on the left) and must have spotted the back most room of the house, which is my Sanctuary and had the door shut but not locked and light glowing from the crack. About the time Shawn was entering the Sanctuary Bruce walked out of the master bedroom and toward the other two rooms the opposite side of the home next to the bathroom and laundry room/garage entrance. Both men appeared again after about 30 seconds in the living room and then Bruce and Shawn walked toward the Sanctuary, and then walked out toward the front door again. I observed all this action from the front doorstep. Once outside my home I proceeded to tell the four men together that, “I am Reverend Michael Paul Wilsman of the The Hawaii Cannabis Ministry and ordained by the Universal Life Church and this is my Religious Sacrament.” At this point It was about 11 A.M. Bruce and Shawn had both gotten on their cell phones at this point and walked away toward the garage and middle of my drive way. I was left being watched by the two men I now know as US DEA Special Agent David Walters and St Johns County Narcotics Detective Mobley. These men were very kind and were asking me about my religious beliefs and how marijuana was apart of them. I then instructed them on how Cannabis was in the Holy Anointing Oil of Moses in Exodus 30:23. This brings my story to about the time of noon on February 5th. I was detained for another 3 hours 30 minutes outside my home before the warrant was finally served and read to me and my girlfriend Victoria at 3:40 pm. I was arrested and transported to County Jail around 6:45pm after the search of my home. Victoria was left at home after signing a written affidavit and after telling the police she would cooperate. She was not arrested this day.

Update: April 4, 2007
These cases are both State of Florida Cases in the 7th Judicial Circuit Court.
Here are the events that have unfolded over the past two months so far.
There are currently two cases pending: Criminal Charges and a Civil Complaint.

I will break down the events in the Civil Complaint for Forfeiture first because this case has had more activity and seems to be moving quicker.
On February 5, 2007 I had 1,750.00 and my truck seized and impounded. I requested a Preliminary Hearing of Probable Cause which was granted and heard on February 26, 2007. At this hearing the Agent Bruce testified to witnessing me purchase fertilizers from a local grow shop he has been watching for 1 year ran my tag saw I owned my vehicle and got my address from DMV. On February 5th he then made contact for the first time with me at my home, and that there was an odor of marijuana emitting from my home. On this day based on the testimony of this 16 year practicing agent the judge found that probable cause enough to move on with the forfeiture. March 12, 2007 I was served with a summons for the Complaint for Forfeiture with which I had 20 days to respond too. At this point I am waiting to hear back from the court on this matter. A lawyer that I have retained filed a response for this case and is trying to have it postponed until after my criminal charges are sorted out.

Criminal Charges: I was arrested February 5, 2007 and booked with 3 charges. 1. Cultivation of Cannabis. 2. Unlawful possession with intent to sell 3. Maintaining a drug dwelling. The first 2 charges are 3rd degree Felony and the last is a 1st degree Misdemeanor. On February 7, 2007 Victoria informed the agents she would not cooperate with them for no charges and on February 9, 2007 an Asst. State Attorney filed the above 3 charges for Victoria and a warrant was issued on February 12, 2007 for her arrest. On February 21, 2007 she turned herself into the County Jail and was released couple hours later. Luckily she didn’t have to change or shower, etc, etc. Her arraignment was then set for March 9, 2007. All this while I have been waiting for the State Attorneys office to file official charges on me or just drop the damn case. Victoria entered a written Not Guilty Plea to the court and waived her appearance for this date. She was then issued a date of April 11, 2007 for a Felony Pretrial. On March 8, 2007 the State Attorney filed and announcement of no information on the charge Unlawful possession with intent to sell and then on this same date filed Charge #1 and #3 from above on me. My Arraignment was set for April 9, 2007. I filed a written plea of Not Guilty and now my Felony Pretrial has been set for April 11, 2007 same date was Victoria’s Pretrial however I seem to have one less charge then her at the moment.

What’s to come next?
I have contacted Roger numerous times over the past 2 months. He has great things to say and has kept me focused and upbeat about this case. I have also been in contact with local Ministers, Rev. Adam Lilli and Brandon. Also someone who has helped me a tremendous amount is Rev. Joshua Snider from Michigan. I pray daily for these Brothers and Sisters and the others whom I shall meet soon enough.

The Motion of Discovery which is of vital importance was ready to be picked up on April 2, 2007 and I should have copies of all this information shortly for review. I am told this discovery contains 1 dvd movie, 2 cd-r with photos, and 25-35 pages of police reports .

I have been working on a Motion to Dismiss based on Federal RFRA, RLUIPA, Florida RFRA as well as First, Fourth, Ninth, Tenth, Fourteenth Amendments US Constitution and Article 1, Section 2,3,12,23 of Florida Constitution. This is based mostly on Josh’s motion the work of Carl Olsen, Tom Brown, Jeff Brown, Eddy Lepp, and of course the information contained inside the kit from Roger. I was also provided with an Exhibit list which is now stacked with about 50 exhibits. My lawyer and Victoria’s lawyer have worked together on high profile cases around this area most notably one on the PGA tour that is hosted in our City. They both have seemed and said they have taken an great interest in our case and the way we both would like it handle. They have been waiting mostly to gather all the discovery information and have been looking over search and seizure ideas first and foremost. They have a meeting this week sometime to discuss the discovery and the RFRA sample motions and information I provided to them.

Prayer for Forgiveness, Blessings, and Peace.

I would like to close this long writing and post with these blessings and forgiveness.

On February 26, 2007 After my Preliminary Hearing I confronted Agent Bruce Savell and Detective Shawn Ferris shook both their hands and told them both that I have forgiven them for what they have done to me and my family. I have no longer have hate or anger for these men and their blind and ignorance to my faith. For soon they both will be enlightened by the Spirit.

Blessings bestowed upon me was arriving home to find the jar of Holy Anointing Oil I had made February 2, 2007 still at my house and a package from specialty bottle company with a few dropper vials. Although the DEA did seize 2 small dropper vials of Holy Oil they managed to leave the large jar full which my blessing was given from God the Creator to show me that he was truly working through me and not to loose faith in this noble mission from him.

I pray for peace here on Earth Our Kingdom of Heaven.
Love,

Reverend Michael Paul Wilsman
