Sirach, from The holy Bible, King James version (

{NOTE: Pay special attention to the interesting
chapter 38, verse 11, which reads, in the correct
and original 1611 Edition King James Version Bible:
11: Give a sweet savour, and a memoriall of fine flowre;
and make a fat offering, as not being.
12: Then give place to the physitian,
for the Lord hath created him: let him
not go from thee, for thou has need of him.
They changed the original word "flowre", meaning "flower"
(!) to "flour" (meaning ground meal/grain) in modern
'Biblical Apocrypha'.
... the "fat" offering I believe references not the
erroneous and un-God-ly burning of animal
fat (which is a mis-translation and also giving in
to the people's customs and against the God-ly plan)
but refers instead to a "large" or "important, significant"
offering.
There are many references to the word "fat" being ]
used in the Bible to refer to wealth, greatness,
largeness, importance and significance, to wit:
Genesis 45:18 And take your father and your households,
and come unto me: and I will give you the good of the
land of Egypt, and ye shall eat the fat of the land.
Genesis 49:20 Out of Asher his bread shall be fat, and
he shall yield royal dainties.
Numbers 13:20 And what the land is, whether it be
fat or lean, whether there be wood therein, or not.
And be ye of good courage, and bring of the
fruit of the land.
