: It's new moon on planet Earth, February 20th, 2004. Bless you. Bless me. Bless everything.

: The opposite of blessing (to me) is cursing or damning something or someone or anything.

: Blessing is much better, no matter what.

: 'Blasphemy', I read once, is the only 'sin' that Jesus said he couldn't forgive. Interesting. Gotta know WHAT - exactly - it is, right?

: The Oxford Dictionary of World Religions says, 'blasphemy' is speaking evil, especially against God or life. Since God is known as EVERYTHING, cursing or damning ANYTHING, for any reason, is blasphemy. Some religions are VERY hard on those who blaspheme, including the death penalty for some. :-{

: 'Disrespect for the sacred' says Webster's New American Dictionary about blasphemy.

: Blessing is better. "God, that's great!" is one kind of blessing.

: Blessing does NOT mean that you approve of what happens. Blessing does NOT mean that you want what happened to occur again.

: Rather, blessing helps to make things right with creation. It honors 'what is', in my opinion.

: Yes, we get to try again, to pray again, or to make new plans so that we get different and better results.

: Blessing helps to re-frame a negative and turn it into a positive of some kind - driven by our faith.

: In example after example, I develope and see benefits in blessing everything and everyone, especially when I don't want to.

: And I work for change and a more enlightened future. Blessing is better! What do you think?

: Roger
